Self-harm is inflicting pain, injury, or anything on oneself that can have a detrimental impact on our own health and wellbeing.
There can be many reasons why we might start to self-harm. There is more than one way to self-harm, as there are various levels of self-harming. We may have a wide range of trigger warnings, or even suicidal thoughts and feelings when we start to self-harm.
Self-harm can be both to a response to OCD and its own subtype of disorder. Having unwanted and repetitive thoughts about harming themselves or someone they love.
